Episdoe #10 - Movement as a language

For the 10th episode I have invited my friend Manon Siv Duquesnay. Manon is a French-Danish dancer, choreographer and teacher based in Spain. She has studied a BA in dance between Uniarts (SE) and Institut del Teatre (ES), and is currently completing her Master at the Danish National School of Performing Arts (DK).

I met Manon first time in 2012 and during the last 9 years we have played different rolls in each other’s life. She was my first long term student, who become my teaching assistant and later on grew into her own practice and now we consider each other as colleagues.

Manon has always been a big inspiration for me as she has an amazing talent in understanding people and forming relationships. She speaks 7 different languages and as far as I am concern, is an embodied example of multiculturalism.

I was super excited to reconnect to her and to hear her thoughts about verbal and physical communication, artistic life in the country side and to hear about her latest adventure of building a cultural centre in the mountains of Asturias.
