Matan Levkowich

Teacher, Founder,

Matan is a dancer, graphic designer and the host of ‘Material For The Brain’ podcast. In 2015 he founded Movement Lab - a vehicle for movement education, choreographic work and discursive inquiry. His practice is influenced by his enthusiasm for physical and theoretical research and revolves around the question of how to develop a meaningful relationship with the body-mind.

Daphna Horenczyk

Daphna is a dance artist based in Vienna. Since 2012 she has been creating independently for stage and for film. Her choreographic language is mainly based on contemporary pop culture and the use of irony and self-humour as critical tools to comment on social behaviour.

Juli is a mover, movement educator, organiser and a therapist based in Vienna, Austria. She has studied different dance forms all around Europe over the last 25 years such as: contact improvisation (CI), improvisation, release technique, easy acrobatics, contemporary dance, and various social dance forms. Since 2007, she has been teaching CI internationally on a regular basis.

Elda is an Italian dancer, performer and emerging choreographer involved in artistic creations for adults as well as for young audience.

Besides working for different choreographers in Austria and abroad she pursues her artistic research about the division and the link between human and nature.

By the age of 12 Lawrence started to regularly attend modern wushu classes. Inspired by its very expressive movements he soon discovered the then emerging underground sport of martial-arts-tricking. Many years of intensive training followed, where he gained recognition as a tricking athlete and competitor all around Europe. In the past years Lawrence studied different fields of art where he eventually discovered his passion for contemporary dance. Currently he fuses different styles into a multi-faceted training that is grounded in sustainability and mindfulness.

Elina has been living and working in Vienna since 2012. She studied pop/jazz singing as well as music education for several years in Finland. At the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna she obtained her Master's degree in music and movement education. She works in the fields of music, dance and performance with different artists and groups.

Christa Stöffelbauer

Christa Stöffelbauer

Teacher,

Christa Stöffelbauer is a dancer, performer, dance facilitator and produces dance performances in collaboration with artists from different disciplines. She studied contemporary stage dance, movement pedagogy and social work in Kassel and Vienna. As co-founder of several artistic collectives, she researches approaches in her work that seek the connections between the body, dance and socio-political issues.

Menno van der Woude has been dancing Contact Improvisation for over 15 years. Coming from a diverse background ranging from theater to programming to making music and sound, he is always finding out anew the meaning and relevance of dance and movement. Through this, he seeks to deal with doubt and uncertainty in the face of impermanence.

Mirjam Klebel is a dancer, choreographer, performer and lecturer. She works at the interface between theatre, opera and dance performance. She is interested in the flow of information and the relationships between facts, images, sounds and movements.

Admin Manager,

Ana is a psychologist and dance teacher from Portugal who worked in training and business consulting for 15 years. Her path in dance started with social dances (Ballroom, Latin and African dances). Since 2018 she's been focused on movement and embodiment approaches to the bodymind, especially using Authentic Movement and Social Presencing Theater.

Since 2022, Ana supports the Movement Lab as Admin Manager.

Christian Ariel Heredia was born and raised in Córdoba, Argentina. After graduating from university in Advertising & Communication with a focus on Art Direction, Film Production, and Photography, he moved to Europe and has been living in Vienna for 23 years. Christian Ariel works globally as an Art Director, Photographer, Filmmaker, and Visual Designer.
